Where You Lack

Life

Rolling hills and absent limits.
This my soul requests.
But pith and air I fill it with,
Arrest cuffs full breath.

Skylessness and spacelessness,
If only to know forever.
My soul begs of me, please.
No, I deny, so may hope cease.

Distance my soul needs, and pleads.
Please, give me distance infinite.
But walls I raise of stringent steel
To curb false feelings I might feel.

Let me wander, says my soul,
To dream of higher dreams.
Someday perhaps, I answer back
I’ll fulfill you where you lack.

Someday perhaps, I answer back,
I’ll fulfill you where you lack.
